Accreditations

The Breast Center of Suburban Imaging is accredited as a “Breast Imaging Center of Excellence” by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

This designation is awarded by achieving accreditation in mammography, breast ultrasound, ultrasound-guided breast biopsy and stereotactic breast biopsy. This award signifies that our imaging center has met stringent requirements and provides essential services at the highest standards. We are one of only 13 breast centers statewide to have achieved this accreditation.

ACR accreditation certifies that:

• radiologists have met strictly-regulated education and training standards
• technologists are certified and credentialed by their respective national boards
• imaging equipment is routinely inspected by a third-party medical physicist to ensure it is operating correctly and producing optimal images

In addition, The Breast Center of Suburban Imaging completes yearly FDA (MQSA) inspections.
