Sonohysterograms combine the use of high resolution endovaginal ultrasound with the infusion of sterile saline into the uterine/endometrial cavity. This allows enhancement of the endometrium.
A sonohysterogram is a well-tolerated in-office procedure that has an approximate exam time of one hour. This exam provides you and your healthcare provider with an excellent diagnostic tool for evaluation of women with perimenopausal, dysfunctional and post menopausal bleeding.
