Neuroradiology is a subspecialty of radiology. Our radiologists are trained in the study of the brain, spinal cord, and the corresponding blood vessels, including the carotid circulation and the vessels surrounding the brain. Medical imaging tools used in neuroradiology include MRI, CT, and ultrasound. Additionally, neuroradiology involves the conservative treatment of neck and back pain disorders, such as epidural steroid injections, facet and sacroiliac joint injections. Neuroradiologists also perform a palliative procedure for osteoporotic spine fractures called vertebroplasty. Neuroradiology Subspecialty Radiologists David Asinger, MD Steven M.
