Breast imaging is a subspecialty of radiology. Our breast imaging radiologists bring many years of experience to screening and diagnostic mammography and their focused dedication ensures the most comprehensive results. They read approximately 100,000 mammograms each year. Suburban Imaging uses Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) to assist the radiologist when reading your mammogram films. This is a sophisticated computer program that can identify questionable areas on the mammogram pictures.
Our diagnostic procedures include breast MRI, MRI and ultrasound guided breast biopsies, stereotactic breast biopsy, wire/needle localization, and sentinel lymph node mapping.
Suburban Imaging’s breast centers are fully accredited by the American College of Radiology and provide high quality mammography for women and men in a quiet, comfortable atmosphere. All of our technologists have advanced certification by the American Association of Registered Technologists. Breast Imaging Subspecialty Radiologists Ellen L. Abeln, MD Bernard C.
