Exams can range from 15 minutes to over an hour, depending on what you are being seen for. For specific information, find your exam in the Services section.

For most exams, you can resume your regular activities and return to work. However, some pain management injections require you to have a driver and rest for the remainder of the day. You will be notified of your results through your referring physician's office. Depending on your referring physician's schedule, it may take several days for you to learn your results.

Reports and/or CDs can be mailed or picked up at any Suburban Imaging office, as long as we know in advance. A photo ID will be required for pick up. As a courtesy to your referring physician, we generally will release your information 5 days after your exam.

You may find out the sex of your baby during your 20 week OB ultrasound, but there are several factors, including the baby's position, which contribute to obtaining a clear image to determine the sex. Even with a clear image, ultrasound is not 100% dependable to determining the sex of your baby.

The numbing medication that is administered during your injection can sometimes cause a temporary tingling or numbing sensation in one or both of your legs. Therefore, it is recommended that you refrain from driving for the remainder of the day.
